Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything families ask about applying to and attending the Canadian Elite Softball Camp.

Who is the camp for?

Athletes with birth years 2009–2014. It's application-only, with just 25 athletes accepted per age group to keep every group competitive.

How do I apply, and how does acceptance work?

Complete the application form online. Applications officially close July 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM — after that the window is closed and no further applications are accepted. Applicants are reviewed and emailed on a rolling basis as spots are filled, whether or not they're accepted, until each age group is full. Applying does not guarantee a roster spot.

Is there an application deadline?

Yes — applications officially close July 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM. After that no further applications are accepted. Applicants are emailed on a rolling basis as spots are filled (accepted or not), until each age group is full.

How and when do I pay?

Accepted athletes pay by Interac e-Transfer. Payment is due within 48 hours of acceptance, and the e-transfer instructions are included in your acceptance email. Fees are non-refundable unless the camp is cancelled by the organizers.

How much does it cost?

The camp fee is $595 CAD per athlete. An optional 3-day catered lunch package is $50.

What's included?

Primary and secondary position instruction from the camp's instructors, a game on the final day, metric/skills testing, a nutrition consultant session, and a mental performance coach session.

Is lunch provided?

Athletes can pack their own lunch each day, or add the optional 3-day catered package ($50) from Kit's Little Kitchen in Georgetown. You choose on the application.

Where and when is the camp?

August 4–6, 2026, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM daily, at Georgetown Fairgrounds in Ontario (a multi-diamond complex about 30 minutes west of Toronto).

What should my athlete bring?

Glove, helmet, cleats, running shoes/turfs, bag, plenty of liquids, sunscreen, and a visor or sunglasses. Softball attire (pants and belt) is required.

What's the weather / rain policy?

The camp runs rain or shine. Light rain continues with modified activities; lightning or severe weather stops play, resuming 30 minutes after the last lightning or thunder. We make every effort to secure an indoor option. Fees are non-refundable, including for weather.

What if my athlete isn't accepted?

Because spots are limited to 25 per age group, not every applicant will be accepted, and once a group is full additional applicants are placed on a waitlist (in case a spot opens). There's no charge to apply, and you're only asked to pay once accepted.

Can parents watch?

Yes — parents are welcome to stay and watch. There are bathrooms and a snack stand on site.
